As you ride the Sandia Peak Tramway up the mountain you will discover the desert floor, canyons flourishing forests and varied wildlife in their natural environment of the Sandia Mountain

The Sandia Mountain provides a home to a varied ecology. You may see mule deer, squirrels raccoons, black bear, bobcats and birds including eagles, hawks, jays ravens and canyon wrens. Be sure to bring your camera.

In summer, the tram offers visitors a scenic chairlift up the peak or hikers and bikers can traverse 24 miles of trails for scenic adventure.They offer visitors, chairlift rides, outdoor barbeque grills and mountian bike rentals.

In winter they offer chairlifts to 25 miles of ski slopes and trails for the beginner to advanced skier. They provide a certified ski school, ski rental shop and a cafe for a bite to eat or just a warm cup of hot chocolate.
